still snowing in D.C.

Riding the bus this morning reminded me why most days we drive - should it really take an hour to go downtown? And once a kid is over toddler age, folks are less likely to offer up a seat. After a few deep breaths we made it, and at least the snow, still falling, looks lovely.

It's supposed to be sixty degrees by the weekend.

It's such a shame that people have lost any sense of good manners or even human decency - children should not be left standing on a bus or subway. Of course the worst offenders are men. I hate it on subways when men take up two seats because they can't put their legs together. Argh! Anyway love the photos of the snow.

I know. I never thought I'd become a "miss manners," but I am realizing that at least half of my rants, at least on this blog, are about rudeness. I'm not sure why people give themselves permission to be rude. Are they the first to take umbrage when someone is rude to them? I bet they are.
