tu-yips

DSC05173

When my brother was a very small child (a very long time ago) we all got a huge kick out of his pronunciation of some words. By far my favorite was his uttering "tu-yips" whenever he saw one of these spring flowers. My mom was quite the gardener back in the day, so there were many varieties of tu-yips to be enjoyed.

By the way, all of these photos were taken by the kid.

Our tu-yips are out now too. I took pictures of them today, maybe a good thing. I don't know how they are going to fair in this rain. I love how children create words and mix words up. My little one is calling this little toy version of Gary the Snail "snake". I just love that so much.

That's adorable! My favorite Lucy-ism at the moment is éclair-ium. She loves to go to the éclair-ium to look at all the fish... Makes me wish there actually was such a place that served éclairs and nothing but éclairs. Maybe I should ask the aquarium if we could open an éclair-ium cafe...
