coconut frozen yogurt

Tonight's offering from the ice cream maker was coconut frozen yogurt. I winged it a bit with the recipe, using coconut milk and not as much sugar as suggested and also shredded coconut. But I really think that using a base of Greek yogurt or, in the case of ice cream, heavy cream, and then mixing it with something delicious and then freezing it—how can it not taste good?

I was able to take a before photo,

And a during photo,

But as soon as I sprinkled some coconut on top for effect—somehow an after photo wasn't possible.

Sounds yummy but we are in the midst of Fall weather. Apple pies and warm cider are a more appropriate dessert for us these days. So funny that you live in ice cream weather all the time. Although we did feel the tropic warmth last week along with the gallons of rain you guys sent up. Maybe you could make and apple cinnamon icecream in honor of your Northern friends?

Apple pie is actually my favorite dessert : ) I was never that much into ice cream, but this weather does make you want something cold. Maybe I can make some "apple pie" ice cream ...
